Dodô Chocolates is a project of company that will manufacture and market fine chocolates and chocolate articles in the south of Brazil. The company intends to establish his audience between people who admires chocolates, involving by the flavor and textures. This is not just a store that sells chocolates, but it is a chocolate boutique. With this in mind the company asked us to design its logotype.
The signature was created in order to combine the sophistication of fine chocolate with all the memories of the traditional chocolate and their homemade taste without make it look excessively posh or even snob. The lines are simple and organic, removing hardness, or sameness of industrial chocolates. These lines form the outline of a small bar of chocolate bite, which like the word “Dodô” — made with a written reminiscent of chocolate — brings a cool air to the signature.
Besides the typography used in the word “Dodô”, we used a thin and simple typography in the company’s business whose refinement is portrayed by “chocolates finos” (fine chocolates). Finally we delivered different applications as samples for the client.
