Safe Me is an app to help foreign tourists from the UK with useful information about Rio de Janeiro, one of the best well-known cities in Brazil. It was developed during the Media Production I module at University of East London, the challenge was to design a novel app in duets, on that one I worked with Tales Galhardi.
As part of the strategy we used the J. J. Garrett methodology in a short manner, setting the strategic points, researching the potential users, which were useful to gather data, listing requirements and objectives and finally working in the visual stage based on all the previous informations and refining it during short iterations.
We also designed a logotype: having in mind one of the most iconic places from Rio — the Pão de Açúcar —, and inspired by the gut feeling of safeness, we created a hand that remembers the Rio’s postcard and a heart. The green tone remained the main colour, spotting the rainforest of the distinguished peak.
